293 subscribers from 1 post (the 'trick' LinkedIn might patch)

Last week, I helped a client get 293 email subscribers from one LinkedIn post: No fancy tech stack.
No complex funnels.
Just psychology and understanding the algorithm.
Here's the exact system we used:
The Hook
Instead of dropping a link and hoping for the best, we crafted a value-first post with a specific promise.
The goal is to spark engagement on the post by making it feel exclusive.
The Engagement Trigger
We added a small ask: "Comment for the link".
Why this works:
• Each comment pushes the post to more feeds
• Social proof builds naturally
• People value what they have to ask for
The Delivery
We didn't just send the resource. We replied to each comment with the link, leading to:
• Higher open rates on the resource
• More meaningful connections
• Better subscriber quality
The results: 293 subscribers who actually wanted to be there.
Want help achieving similar results in your business? Then let’s talk.
• The ADHD-friendly money management system that saved my business (and why checking your bank balance isn't enough)
• How a week off-grid in Yosemite made me completely pivot my business model
Quick question: Which would you rather learn more about next week:
• The exact post structure we used for the 293 subscribers
• My complete content repurposing system
• How I manage multiple clients
Hit reply and let me know. I'll focus next week's newsletter on the most requested topic.
Until next week
